Kranium Lab

Kranium Lab is a comprehensive LIS that addresses all the functionalities of a typical Laboratory department of a hospital and helps in streamlining the operations. Kranium Lab comprises of Bio-Chemistry & Hematology, Microbiology, Anatomical Pathology, Blood Transfusion Services and Blood Donor Management. The suite also includes the phlebotomy functionality towards streamlining of specimen collection.The modules provide extensive parameters to govern the workflow including quality control aspects. The modules support information management and processing for the clinical aspects as well as provide extensive standard queries and reports including statistics for the management towards better planning and informed and timely decision-making.

Kranium Lab has interfaced to over 100 different types of Laboratory Analyzers, both bi-directional as well as unidirectional depending on the Analyzer capabilities. Bi-directional interface implies the transmission of the Lab test / specimen data to the analyzers and the results from the analyzers back to the Kranium Lab or any third party LIS systems. Unidirectional interface implies transmission of the result data from the analyzers to the Kranium Lab or any third party LIS systems. In the latter case, the test / specimen data is input to the analyzer directly through human intervention.
